Most photographs on this site were taken with Canon 10D digital camera. I usually use Canon EF 17-40 f/4L lens, which provides exceptional sharpness and color fidelity at all apertures. My other lenses are Canon EF 70-200 f/4L and Canon EF 50/1.4. I shoot only in RAW format and process my photos in Adobe Camera Raw converter. The post-processing is usually limited to only minimal color correction, sharpening and in some cases, noise reduction.

I recently purchased the Wista 45DXII large format camera. It is very lightweight and highly suitable for work in the field, and its movements allow for precise focusing and perspective control. I use Fuji Velvia 100 and Velvia 100F films in Quickloads, so that I can reduce the total weight of my equipment by using only one film holder (Polaroid 545). My large format lenses are Schneider Symmar-S 210mm f/5.6 and Graphlex Optar 135mm f/4.7.

Transparencies are scanned on the Polaroid SprintScan 45 Ultra film scanner. Scanning in 48-bit mode at maximum optical resolution of 2571 dpi results in roughly 100 million pixels image, which is suitable for elargement up to 24"x36".

I print my photos on the Epson 3800 Pro printer using variety of semi-matte and matte papers. My favorites are Epson UltraSmooth, Epson Premium Luster and Epson Velvet fine art papers.

Please feel free to contact me about almost any technical question about my work or my techniques. I will post most common questions and answers on this page.
